With so much love and some grief we have decided not to hold HeartSpace Gathering this August as it feels too hard to navigate the current social distancing guidelines at a gathering about togetherness.
This is a hard call to make as the value of the work that we do at HeartSpace feels stronger than ever in this time where society's old story of separation is reaching new extremes. We so wish that we could hold space for you all to be together in this time, welcoming all the parts of ourselves in compassion and meeting our needs for love, connection and belonging.
However, we fully intend to hold some events in the near future, possibly as soon as September, so watch this space!
We hope you are all well and finding plenty of connection and unity in these powerful times,
the HeartSpace team
At HeartSpace we create a safe, loving and playful space where we can invite and celebrate the full spectrum of who we are, our whole authentic self.
Together we explore connection, intimacy, vulnerability, consent, boundaries and mutual support systems, enabling us to move towards a culture in which our shared human needs are met.
We embark on a journey of personal and interpersonal transformation, empowering ourselves to step more fully into our gifts and contribute to the creation of a community that works for all, in harmony with the Earth.
There will be a diverse range of workshops on offer, including Connection Lab, Authentic Relating, Be The Change, The Wheel of Consent, Contact Improvisation, Living Rhythm, Harmony Singing and Yoga. Evening sessions include Ecstatic Dance, Cuddle Space, Cacao Ceremony, Music and Song.
Every morning we gather together to connect with the whole group and share information about the upcoming day as well as any practical matters to help the smooth running of the camp.
We camp in circles, with each circle creating a small community (within the larger community) that becomes our home for the week. Each circle contains a communal living space and open fire, around which group meals are prepared and shared. Circles provide support for members with daily check-ins, as well as facilitating the sharing of tools, resources and jobs. The first day at camp will be dedicated to setting up camp circles.
Children of all ages are welcome. There will be a Kids Area with a full programme of workshops, creativity and play. Activities will include games, forest school, kids yoga and story-telling.
The camp will take place at An Sanctóir holistic community centre, set on a thirty acre nature reserve near Ballydehob in West Cork. We have the use of the beautiful octagonal hall as our main workshop space, as well as an abundance of outdoor space – open fields, forest walks and a river to dip in.
